  • North Rome Christian School has been providing Christian education since 1983.
  • NRCS is an inter-denominational, parent owned and parent operated school.
  • NRCS has cost shared its used of the facilities at the North Rome Wesleyan Church since 1983, but is otherwise separate from the organization of the church..
  • We are a member of the Association of Christian Schools International and a candidate for accreditation.
  • We desire to develop a Christian worldview heart and mind process with all of our students.
  • Enrollment averages about 120 students in Kindergarten through high school.
  • We graduated our first group of seniors in 1999. Since then, our students have enrolled in public and Christian colleges, entered the work force, the military, the mission field and schools of technology.
  • NRCS administers the Pennsylvania System of School Assessments (PSSA) to students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 11. We are very proud of our scores and how we compare to the state and local standards. The Keystone Exams are also being introduced into the curriculum.
  • The teacher to student ratio is 1:10.
  • We use Bob Jones, A Beka, Positive Action for Christ, McGraw Hill McMillan,Addison Wesley, Pearson, Appologia, and other curriculum, capitalizing on the best that each has to offer in each subject and grade level.
  • The school day is 8:20 am to 3:00 pm for the high school and 8:30 am to 3:00 pm for the elementary
  • The entire faculty and staff are committed Christians, active in local churches. 
  • We have a strong emphasis on Christian character development for each student.
  • We have tutoring available through Title I and Blast for students who need support

  • Bussing is provided by the following school districts: Athens, Northeast Bradford, Sayre, Towanda, and Wyalusing. There are many families who carpool from other areas including the New York area.
