We also have a soccer team and play other private schools and scrimmage the public schools. The girls' volleyball season is in the spring and is played against many of the same schools for basketball.

  North Rome's Wells Reaches 1000 Point Plateau
  North Rome senior Abbey Wells scored the 1000th point of her varsity career on February 14 against ECA.  Congratulations to one of GFLCAA's all-time greats!  Abbey is believed to be the third GFLCAA girls player to score 1000 career points, and all three are from North Rome.  Great job, Abbey!!

The purpose of choir is to “glorify God and love Him forever” and singing is one medium in which we can accomplish this goal. Singing is referred to multiple times in scripture and is one heavenly gift that has been bestowed upon man on earth. Someday we will all praise and sing to Our Heavenly Father with the heavenly hosts. Here at North Rome Christian School, choir is required for the Middle School students and is a Fine Arts Elective for High School students.  Students hold a concert at Christmas and towards the end of the school year.

North Rome Christian School students have a variety of opportunities to develop leadership skills.  Students in grades 9 - 12 may choose Student Council as an elective class.  Student Council members organize Spirit Week, Operation Christmas Child, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, Car Washes, Roller Skating parties, Pep Rallies, and many other activities.  Juniors attend the ACSI Leadership Conference and develop a Leadership plan of action for their class based upon their gifts and abilities.  Seniors work with the students in grades 7 - 12 as their Discipleship Leader and also serve as Teacher Aide's for the elementary classes.  Each class works on a yearly Service project that reaches into the community.  Students are encourage to be involved in their church and to develop a Christian worldview emphasis in which they desire to make a difference in their realm of influence and their corner of the world.

A highlight of grades fourth thru eighth grades is a three day camping experience at Spruce Lake Wilderness Camp.  Spruce Lake is located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania (PA) and offers a Christian retreat and conference center, summer children’s and youth camp, Bible-based educational ministries and a family campground. God’s presence can be felt here through the beauty of nature, with over 800 acres of woodlands, waterfalls and mountain streams to explore, all offering refreshment for body and soul.

Spruce Lake Outdoor School offers over 60 different outdoor classes from which to choose. Categories such as Animal Life, Earth Science, Forest & Aquatic Communities and Adventure Activities (challenge courses, climbing tower, zipline and more) allow the student to go four years in a row and never repeat any activities.  The spiritual guidance of the Spruce Lake staff and also the parents who appreciate the ministry that this experience provides for the students, makes this camp a fun and remembered event years later.

Take Rt. 17 W to exit # 58 (Wellsburg/Lowman).  At the top of the ramp, take a left onto County Rt. 8.  Just under a mile you will come to a “T” intersection with NYS Rt. 427.  Turn right: go 6.2 miles to the second traffic light and turn left onto E. Miller St.  Go past the school on the right, go to the 3^rd traffic light and turn left onto So. Main St.  Travel 1 mile and turn right onto Roberts St.  The park is on the left.

Twin Tier’s Baptist – Breesport, NY

Take Route 17 West to Exit 54 onto Route 13.  Turn right at the second light onto route 223.  Go about 5 miles to Breesport.  The school is on the right.

Portville played at Family Life Network – Bath, NY

Take Route 17 West to exit 37 (Kanona/Prattsburg). At the stop sign turn left and go past a large truck stop.  At the next stop turn right onto Rt. 415 No.  Go across a little green bridge and turn left onto Campbell Creek Rd.  Family Life is directly on the left.

Ross Corners Christian Academy – Vestal, NY

Take Rt. 17 E to exit # 66 (Apalachin exit).  Turn left onto Rt. 434 E.  When Rt. 434 E turns into a 4 lane, turn right onto Arlington Ave.  At the stop sign turn left onto Old Owego Rd.  The school is on the right.

Binghamton Home School @ Otsiningo Park – Binghamton, NY

Take Route 17 East to exit 72 (Front St.) at the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Rt. 11 No.  Go approx. 1 mile to a traffic light.  Otsiningo Park is to your right diagonally.  Turn right at the light and make an immediate left into the park.

Central Baptist Christian Academy – Binghamton, NY

Take Rt. 17 E to Rt. 81 N.  Take Exit #6.  At the end of the ramp take a right onto Rt. 11 which turns into Rt. 12. Travel for 2.2 miles. The church and school are on the right.  Parking and the field are at the back.

FLM Intensity @ Big Flats – Big Flats, NY *SAME PLACE, NEW DIRECTIONS*

Take I 86W (17 W) to exit # 49 (Big Flats).  Turn left at the end of the ramp. At the “T” turn right onto Maple St. At the next “T” turn left onto Olcott Rd. At the next “T” turn right onto Main St. At the next “T” turn left onto Rt. 352. Travel ¼ mile to a traffic light.  The fields will on the left @ “Big Flats Community Park.”

Corning Christian Academy-Corning, NY

Take I 86 W to exit #46 (Rt. 414 in Corning).  At the end of the ramp turn left onto Centerway Rd.  Travel across a bridge and go to the 4^th traffic light (after bridge) and turn right onto Denison Parkway.  Go to the next light and turn left onto Walnut St. (A post office and Sunoco on either side of the rd.) Drive up the hill and take a right onto East Third St.  Continue on E Third St. until you see the park/field on the left.

Take Rt. l7 E to Apalachin (exit #66).  At the end of the ramp turn right onto Rt. 434 W. Go a little less than a mile to a traffic light and turn left onto PA Ave.  Travel 4.2 miles on PA Ave. to the “South Apalachin Baptist Church”.  The church is on the right and is a red brick bldg.

Syracuse Home School – Syracuse, NY

Take Rt. 17 E to Rt. 81 N to Syracuse.  Take the Adams St. exit #18 (the exit ramp is Almond St.) toward Harrison St.   Stay in the far left lane and turn left onto Harrison St.  Turn right onto So. State St. (US-11).  Turn left onto Fayette St.  Turn left onto So. Clinton St.  Turn right onto Dickerson.  Rescue Mission gym (Kiesewetter Rec Center) is on your right. You can park next to or across the street from gym.

Binghamton Home School – Binghamton, NY

West Windsor Baptist Church – Take Rt. 17 E (in Binghamton  Rt.17 splits a couple of times make sure to stay on 17E) take Exit #77 (West Windsor) and turn left onto North Rd.  Go 8/10 mile to the West Windsor Baptist Church on the right.

Portville at Gang Mills–Painted Post, NY ****NEW DIRECTIONS DUE TO CONSTRUCTION****

Take Rt. 17/86 W to exit #44 and get onto Rt. 15 South.  Travel approx. 1 ½ miles to exit #3 (Gang Mills) At the bottom of the ramp turn right onto Rt. 417 (So. Hamilton Rd.) At the second traffic light turn left onto Beartown Rd. The Beartown Rd. Alliance Church is on the left.

Elmira Christian Academy – Elmira, NY

Maranatha Bible Chapel.  Take Rt. 17/86 W to exit #51 (Arnot Mall exit) to Chambers Rd.  Go past the mall to the second stop sign (not light) and there will be a T intersection.  Turn right onto Sing Sing Rd.  The church is approx. 1 mile on the right and the turn is on a very sharp curve.

Central Baptist Christian Academy – Binghamton, NY

Take Rt. 17 E to Rt. 81 No. Take exit #6. At the end of the ramp turn right. Take Rt. 12 for 2.2 miles.  Central Baptist Church is on the right.  Parking is in the back and on side.

Williamsport Home School – Cogan Station, PA

Out of Towanda, take Rt. 414 to Canton.  In Canton take Rt. 14 S to Trout Run.  In Trout Run take Rt. 15 S.  Travel approx. 6-8 mi. and take the Cogan Station/Perryville exit toward PA Rt. 973.  Go to the stop sign and turn left onto PA Rt. 973 toward Cogan Station. Travel approx. 1 mi. to a stop sign and turn left onto Old Rt. 15.  The Christian Church @ Cogan Station is ½ mi. on the right.  The church is not visible from the direction we will be traveling but the sign is.

Twin Tiers – Corning, NY

Corning Community College – Rt. 17 W to exit # 47 (Gibson exit).  Turn left at the light.  Follow the road into downtown Corning.  Turn left on Chemung St.  There is a Radisson Hotel at this intersection.  Go about 3 miles up the hill.  The college will be on the right.  Bear right as you come on the campus.  Follow signs to the gym.

Ross Corners – Vestal, NY

Take Rt. 17 E to exit # 66 (Apalachin exit).  Turn left onto Rt. 434 E.  Follow until Rt. 434 E turns into a four lane road.  Turn right onto Arlington Ave.  At the stop sign turn left onto Old Owego Rd.  The school is on the right.

Watkins Glen High School – Watkins Glen, NY

Take Rt. 17 W to Exit 52 (going to Watkins Glen Rt. 14).  At the end of the ramp turn left.  Turn right at the next intersection onto Westinghouse Rd.  Go to the end of that road to a “T”.  Turn left onto Rt. 14.  In the town of Watkins Glen go through two red lights (there is a Pizza Hut on the right at the 2nd light).  Go 3 blocks and turn right onto 12^th St.  Go 2 blocks – enter the first parking lot on the right.

Canaan Christian-Lake Ariel, PA

From 81 S. Take exit 187 to interstate 84 E.  Take exit 17 (old exit 5 Newfoundland/Hamlin). Turn left onto PA Rt. 191 N.  This road merges with PA 196 at the split.  PA Rt. 196 will end and Rt. 296 begins.  Continue on PA Rt. 196; go up the hill, turn right at the sign.  The church and school are at the top of the hill on the right.

Williamsport Christian-Williamsport, PA

Take 220 So. (or Rts. 14 and 15 to 220 So.) to Williamsport area. Take exit #25 (Faxon). Turn right onto North Way Rd. and get into the left lane immediately.  Go to the third  traffic light and turn right onto Four Mile Drive.  Go about one block to “Emmanuel Baptist Church” on the right.  The gym is behind the church.
